A REAL PERSON CAN HELP

You don’t need to carry
this by yourself.

You can reach out even if you’re unsure what to say, or whether things are “bad enough.”

CHAT HERE · NO ACCOUNT OR APP NEEDED

A conversation, right here.

You stay on this website. Chand Mama receives your messages and replies through Telegram. You do not need Telegram, a phone number, or a sign-in. This is a conversation with a compassionate adult person, not an AI chatbot or a licensed therapist.

Checking whether website chat is available…

If you might hurt yourself or can’t stay safe, don’t wait for a chat reply. Call your local emergency number, go to the nearest emergency department, or ask a trusted person to stay with you.

How your chat is handled

Only messages you choose to send are shared with Chand Mama via Telegram. The website stores your conversation on Cloudflare for up to 24 hours from when it starts. “End & clear chat” removes it from website chat storage; copies already delivered to Telegram may remain under Telegram’s policies and with the recipient.

A secure cookie keeps your chat connected in this browser for up to 24 hours. People using this browser may be able to reopen it, so end the chat on shared devices. We use a hashed connection address temporarily to limit spam. Please avoid sending identifying details you don’t need to share. Keep this page open to receive replies.

SOMEONE YOU TRUST

Let someone be with you

A friend, family member, neighbour, or another safe person. You can send these words:

I’m having a really hard time and I don’t feel safe alone. Can you call me or come and stay with me?

Need help right now?

Contact your local emergency service if you’re in immediate danger. For ongoing support, contact a local crisis service, your healthcare provider, or a trusted person who can help you find care.

If I haven’t replied, reach out to someone you trust or a local support service. If you can’t stay safe, seek emergency help instead of waiting.

JUST THE NEXT FEW MINUTES

No big answers.
One small step.

You don’t have to solve everything right now. Choose what feels possible. If you’re in immediate danger, get urgent help first.

A gentle pause, if it helps

Feel your feet against the floor. Notice three things around you. Let your breathing be natural. You can stop if this feels uncomfortable.

  1. 01

    Move toward safety

Put distance between yourself and anything you could use to hurt yourself. If you can, ask a trusted person to help make your surroundings safer.

  2. 02

    Be near another person

Go somewhere you feel safer, with people around. Ask someone you trust to stay beside you or on the phone.

  3. 03

    Say what’s happening

“I’m thinking about suicide and I need help staying safe.” You can show someone this page if talking feels too hard.

WHEN SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT IS STRUGGLING

You don’t need perfect words.
Start by being there.

Take them seriously. A calm, caring conversation can help them connect with support.

01 / ASK

Ask directly, gently.

“Are you thinking about suicide?” Listen without judging, arguing, or trying to make them feel guilty.

02 / STAY

Help them stay safe.

If danger is immediate, stay with them if it’s safe for you and contact emergency services. Help reduce access to anything they could use to hurt themselves.

03 / CONNECT

Bring in more support.

Help them reach a crisis service or mental health professional. Don’t promise secrecy about immediate danger. Check in again afterward.
